|Most of my work is custom designed, one of a kind pieces. Some are limited
edition and are marked as such. If you are interested in having a piece designed
for you, please contact me at

What do I do to get started on a custom
design? To facilitate the design process, you can:
1. Browse the Gallery for styles, colors, and beads you like.
2. Browse the Tips and Inspirations page.
3. Send a picture of an outfit for which you wish the piece designed
(preferably with you wearing it so I can see the style, neckline, etc.) or a
picture cut from a magazine or catalog (remember this will be a custom piece and
I do not make copies of other artists' work).
4. Describe what you are looking for, such as casual or dressy,
birthstone or specific type of beads you want included, what metal or any metal
allergies, length of necklace or earrings desired, wrist or ankle measurement
for bracelets, and any other details you want to include.
Send what you can when you first contact me, but don't worry about getting all the details, we will work through that in the
When do I owe money? When I
receive your inquiry, I will either ask for more information where needed to get
an idea of the work and costs involved, send pictures of other pieces in my
inventory that may be what you need, and/or provide deposit information for your
custom design. To review the deposit requirements for custom work, please see my
Deposit information. After your design is complete
and you receive the final pricing, if you decide to have the jewelry made, you
will owe the balance before work is begun. If you decide not to proceed, you
will owe the non-refundable part of the deposit. You may also forfeit the cost of beads that were purchased for your
design if they are not returnable and are not a style I carry in stock for my
usual design work; however, before any are purchased, you will be advised of
that fact and can opt not to purchase until the design is set.
How does the design process work?
When I receive the deposit, we can begin our collaboration to
finalize your unique piece of jewelry. After the design and beads have
been selected through email correspondence and/or phone conversations, you will
receive an email with a picture or sketch showing a section of the bead sequence
plus the final pricing, which will itemize all postage, insurance and gift wrap
How long does all this take?
Once I receive the final payment, you should have your finished jewelry within a
week. The total design process usually requires two to three weeks. This
can vary depending on the beads chosen and their availability, your promptness
in replying to emails or phone calls, payment method used, or other less likely
delays such as postal strikes or acts of God.
